Welcome Back! This year promises to be one of the best for the Sailor Symphony!
Seating Auditions
Please download and prepare the following excerpt up to measure 24. Also please prepare the following scales (G maj, D maj, and D natural minor) in one or two octave (completion of octaves will have an effect on your chair placement). The first 8 violins will be distributed evenly among the 1st and 2nd violin sections to insure strength in those sections.
The audition will take place on Friday, September 2nd in class.

Stetson String Institute
The Stetson University String Institute is a 3-day intensive study. It is great for an experienced players and is completely accessible to less experienced players. The conductor and strong faculty are top professionals in their field. Tuition is only $30 and you will have to make your own hotel accommodations in the DeLand Area
After School Rehearsals
The Sailor Symphony is among a few High School FULL orchestras in the state of Florida! As this is the case, we require an after school practice every-other Wednesday from 2:30-4:30. This allows us to perform from a much broader base of repertoire and begin to touch the masters!
